National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
Today, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude to those who dedicate their lives to keeping our schools safe. A special thank you to our School Resource Officers from the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department, who work tirelessly to protect and support our students and staff.
Your commitment, service, and care are truly appreciated. Thank you for everything you do to ensure our schools remain safe, welcoming, and secure.
Celebrating Community Support & Teacher Excellence!
With generosity from our community, the Lafayette Endowment Fund for Education (LEFE) is proud to announce that $7,130.66 in teacher grant awards have been distributed to support innovative classroom projects and enhance the learning experience for our students.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed—your continued commitment to our teachers and students makes all the difference!

Two Lafayette County School Board members were sworn in at last night's meeting. Board members elected last November took the oath of office for their new term. The Board members and their districts are:

SCHOOL BUS SAFETY WEEK
🟡 Yellow lights 🟡 on a school bus indicate the bus is preparing to stop. 🛑 If driving, slow down, stay alert, and watch out for children.

Friday Morning Game Day was a hit in Ms. Scheldt's 2nd grade class! Our students practiced their math facts while working together to choose games, take turns, and strengthen their social skills.
What made it even more special? These centers were completely student-led! It was fantastic to see our young learners collaborating and having fun while reinforcing their academics. Way to go, 2nd graders!

Last week, our PreK classes celebrated the 50th day of school in fabulous 50s style! Students, teachers, and administration joined the fun, dressing up in their best outfits.
They incorporated subjects like math by counting to 50, explored the history of the 50s, and got creative with art activities inspired by the era. From dancing to classic tunes to sharing fun facts about the decade, it was a day filled with joy and learning!
A huge thank you to everyone who participated, making it a memorable celebration! Here’s to many more exciting days ahead.

It's School Bus Safety Week!
